Wage Certification

Wage Certifications

Wage Certifications are completed in eSERS.

They provide SERS with the final payroll information needed for processing applications and paying benefits. Accurate and timely wage certification helps ensure benefits are calculated correctly and processing delays are prevented.

Only complete the certification when you have the final payroll information for that employee.

The district will receive an email notification when a member, retiree, or beneficiary files one of the following applications:

  • Service Retirement
  • Survivor Benefits
  • Refund
  • Reemployed Retiree Payment
  • Disability Benefit (a certification is sent once the application is approved)
  • Beneficiary Lump Sum

Email notifications are sent only to the Employer Web Administrator (EWA) and individuals assigned the Wage Certification role.
